Will this create a demand for camel milk? The camel milk industry hopes so. The chocolate is going to be made in Dubai and sold under the brand name Al Nassma – meaning ‘cool desert breeze’ and is going to be made from camel milk powder. Though camels are ubiquitous here in this area, camel milk isn’t really produced on a large scale and this could just be the fillip to get it going.
Will other camel states also follow? Right now, Dubai is the only place where the facilities exist in order to ensure a quality product. Considering that an Austrian company owns half of the Dubai camel milk chocolate company, one might see these chocolates on European shop shelves soon.
