Many places in the world today offer lactose-free milk but the UK has been tardy in introducing this to the market. So for the many who are lactose intolerant in the UK – and the estimate is 15% of the population – there’s good news. There’s a new cheese on the block – Lactofree which is lactose free. It’s got all the wonderful taste of cow’s milk and all its goodness but it is treated so it is lactose-free. It’s great for anything you would want to use cheese for – in sandwiches, cooking, toppings, sauce. Great news in the UK for those who had trouble digesting their milk!
