Chr Hansen French Arpajon Plant Now World’s Largest For Dairy Cultures

October 23rd, 2008

The new, renovated dairy plant is open and it is Chr Hansen’s largest thus far. There’s been a huge amount of money invested here and it looks like 40% of the demand for dairy cultures will be met from this plant. With cultures being such a great part of the Danish giant’s product list, it was only natural that they would want to push towards a larger, more advanced plant. This one in France seemed to fit the bill. With all their plants being run at full capacity, the time had come to increase capacity.

With newer markets opening up globally, it looks like a new plant is in the offing in Denmark where logistically, it will be the viable location.
