Connacht Gold Ireland Hit Hard With Dairy Losses

It hasn’t been too good a year for most companies associated with dairy around the world. In Ireland, the Connacht Gold co-operative posted losses of 1.75 million euros. However, financially and operationally, the company is supposed to be still strong. The co-op business has a wide range of activities that spans dairy products, consumer foods, timber processing and agribusiness and this varied mix has been a buffer against too much of an overall loss because of the dairy side of the business.
