Fairtrade Cocoa Makes a big Difference
Cadbury’s have made the switch and they only use Fairtrade cocoa in their products now. What exactly is this? It means that the chocolate you buy has cocoa from the countries that grow it which has been bought at a fair price and let’s remember that most of these farmers are very poor.
For Cadbury’s, it must have pushed up their expenditure bill considerably but when a giant takes a step like this, it means taking the lead to go down that fair trade path. So when you buy a chocolate made by them, you can eat it knowing that the people who made the cocoa have gotten a fair price for it.
