Fonterra To Buy FrieslandCampina’s Lactose Unit For $106 Million
Fonterra and the Dutch dairy company Royal FrieslandCampina have a joint venture and now Fonterra is all set to pick up the Dutch company’s lactose business. With this, Fonterra’s lactose production for the pharmaceutical industry will be enhanced. The company is awaiting regulatory approvals which they hope should be in by March of this year. The R&D strengths of both companies would be brought in to help this venture be successful.
