Micellar Casein Gives Rise To New Company

February 6th, 2009

Never mind that dairy manufacturers all over the world are in the doldrums, here is a new company that is going to be set up with a milk extract. What this company, Ingredient Solutions in New Zealand aims to do is to extract the casein from 50 to 100 million litres of milk. Micellar casein is used in sports drinks as it is a source of very good muscle building.

The production is expected to start sometime in the third quarter of this year and they are looking to rake in $30 million to build a plant by raising a share offer. Will something like this thrive when everything else seems to be going through a downturn? Sports drinks have a good market and even in times of trouble, the show of muscles must go on!
