Senators Take Up American Dairy Farmers’ Cause

August 3rd, 2009

With so many people importing milk and avoiding tariffs on it, the dairy farmers of the US are having a tough time what with prices plummeting and their produce not being able to cope. So much so that the senators have had to take up the issue very strongly in order to protect their livelihood.

When the condition is so desperate, certain strong measures need to be taken to protect home-grown products and towards this end, a dairy advisory committee has been formed to look into their plight.
