In a year that has been fraught with losses for most people in the dairy industry globally, FrieslandCampina has managed to paint a pretty good picture on their business sheets for the year 2008. The price that they paid their member farmers was up 4% from the previous year and their revenue went up by 446 million euros. The profits for 2008 read at 135 million euros. They have managed to achieve this with a range of value-added products as well as venturing into diverse markets. There has also been an increased insistence on production efficiency.
